Beyond Institutional Care: Rethinking How We Care for Vulnerable Children

Year Two of the EU Project, VIVID:T, is well underway, and at Tearfund Ireland we’re looking forward to everything this project has in store in 2021.

We are excited to be hosting a three-day online training and a one-day conference on the topic of Care Reform and the global move away from volunteering in orphanages in May 2021.

We will bring together experts to build the capacity of the organisations involved in VIVID and others – to assist them in preventing institutionalisation in their development work, and to reintegrate those who have been placed in institutions back into family and community.

The workshops will take place on the 11^th, 12^th, and 13^th of May. Our one-day conference will take place on the 14^th of May.
